|INDIANAPOLIS CITY MARKET
The indianapolis City Market is open year-round with indoor vendors, stands and dining. Wednesdays during the summer, Market Street is closed between the City-County Building and the market for an outdoor farmer’s market, which is heavily attended. The City Market is currently undergoing renovation.
|OHIO STREET BUS TRANSFER
The Ohio Street bus transfer area is very heavily trafficked with buses, cars and pedestrians. The Indianapolis bus system uses a hub-and-spoke system, and most transfers occur in this area. Ohio Street itself has very little retail and is generally composed of office buildings whose ground floors attract very little pedestrian activity. The number of buses in this area at times can overwhelm the bus shelters that exist. The shelter shown is in front of the Federal Courthouse.
